Fera Zero developed and licenses a B2C & B2B compost software duo:

  • B2C app tracks and rewards food scaps diverted by users with impact tracking

  • B2B platform’s data analytics tools increase efficiency and transparency in business operations for resource optimizations, cost savings, demand and impact tracking and report generation.

Both platforms work together to translate compost actions into easy and accessible data to increase participation, optimize operations, fundraising, and widely convey the benefits of compost to people, businesses and governments.

Outcomes & Growth:

  • After the successful launch of the app with LA Compost in 1 location in 2020, we now serve over 20 LA drop-off locations managed by LA Compost.

  • Our platform has tracked over 64,000 compost actions in LA, resulting in over 625,000 pounds of food saved from landfills, avoiding 550,000 pounds of CO2e emissions.
